Project Description

Inspiration for a painting can arrive at any place and any time. Just like this image of the moon breaking through the clouds near Gloucester. A chance encounter when taking the dog outside in the evening, I looked up and was mesmerised by how the moon glowed in the night sky, throwing it’s eerie glow across the edges of the clouds. Quickly getting my phone out to capture the moment, I simply had to paint a picture of it. I used acrylic paint on a pre-stretched square boxed canvas and wrapped the painting around the edges of the frame.
