Project Description
The Victorian Clevedon Pier stretches out into the Bristol Channel. This acrylic landscape painting shows Clevedon nestled at the end of the pier, nestled amid an outcrop of craggy rocks and an impending stormy sky. Painted from a photo I took in late November, it shows the coldness of the early evening darkness creeping over the buildings and a soft glow from the oncoming sunset. The pier itself looks like it’s propping up the shoreline and landscape on the other side of the channel.
